Now you're up to 120 kilo? Or does she fly Economy Basic?Clearly you don't have a dive wife.
My two cents...wear a fisherman's vest onto the plane, which has multiple pockets inside and out and also a large pocket on the backside. You could also wear your BCD on the plane.
Nice flex!I always fly first class and get two free 30kg checked bags. Never had any excess baggage fees.![]()
As mentioned, some countries, including the Philippines, for example will not allow entry without an onward or return ticket. The way around this is to purchase a cheap onward ticket that is refundable, then cancel it after you are in the country. Even if you are allowed one free checkin bag, be careful of the weight limitations, and if you cannot possible meet the limitations, it saves money, when booking a ticket with a foreign airline to purchase “extra baggage weight allowance” when you purchase your ticket. It is much much cheaper than paying for the extra weight at the checkin counter at the airport where the penalty is based on each kilogram of weight over the allowable limit.I'm about to head off without a return ticket, sometimes working and sometimes just traveling as a backpacker. I'm very much on a budget while I travel and I'm looking for ways to save on the luggage fees on planes.
I have full gear (except tank and weights) that I plan to travel with. My equipment is geared towards traveling and is as light-weight as possible.
Does anyone have any tips for packing the gear or generally avoiding excess luggage fees? I travel with a backpack that fits as a carry-on on most airlines.
