I guess I'm a polygamist. I have a couple of faithful wives, a few sexy chicks and a pile of old skanky hoe-bags that are past their prime.
This is truly original!!!! What did the customer end up buying? The sexy woman or the good wife?
After this sales speech, I am thinking Atomics would be a Ferrari. Mares would be the widely sold, most easily available "Toyotas" of the scuba world. Never used a HOG but from what I have heard, it is far from the girl next door. Instead HOG is the new b!tch on the block who is acting cheap to create a following. Ultimately they all get you from point A to point Z.
As for his Apeks being tanks and ALs being Rolls, I think what he was saying was that if two people were given these regulators to break then the guy breaking the Aqua Lungs would have success before the guy breaking Apeks. True? I get the feeling that Apeks are larger and heavier built. Can anyone verify this?

I dont think he made a purchase that day. He must have had to sleep over this decision. I have to go back to the LDS to return some tanks so I will ask the sales rep.
There is a lot more than just plastic and lip warmer between Apeks regs and Aqualung regs. The guts of the Aqualung regs were designed to use the same HP seat that is used on all their Balanced regulators. The internal configuration is different and at time the quality control is differnet because they are made in diferent places. I myself would pick a Scubapro regulator :snicker:.
