HI Guys
Here in Israel there are all sorts of government laws concerning diving. One is that anyone starting out over age 45 must pass a med exam. I was fine except I never had a stress test. The doc let me do the course, but said I couldn't get my cert card without it. PASSED IT TODAY WITH FLYING COLORS. Shocked myself with how strong my heart is. Now, friends of my Bro, tell him to go do it(att:conchs).
Watch out fishies, here I come........

congrats i take my dive medical on the 12 for underwater welding..

i'm sure it will be fine. Just stay off the _____ (fill in the blank) and get a good nights sleep before.
My first dive, I could barely walk down to the water with my gear on. I started exersizing for about a half hour EVERYDAY since. By the end of that week, no swaet.

Congratulations! There was a recent article in Dive Training magazine about a woman in her 80's who travelled all around and dove all over the world. It was really a neat story... In my dive club, we have a married couple who are in their early sixties and dive together all the time. Many many happy and awe-inspiring years of safe diving to you! :)

Congrats on passing the stress test! Good luck in receiving your cert.

Congratulations ofn the stress test, both from a diving and personal well being stand point.

Conditioning works and you will also find that as you get accustomed to handling the gear that will get easier. At the end of the dive be it shore or boat take some time mellowing out in the shallows or on the surface before climbing out. Bobbing in the water at 1ATM will let you body reaclimate before hiking or clkimbing out.

My Bro is sending me the mag in a *care package*, along with a water proof? snorkle, and some fancy snorkle keepers.
Wish I could get my husband to try scuba, but he just dreams of motorcycles.

Tell him a scuba mask is just a miniature motocycle fairing. That simple.
