I'm looking around for jobs and there are a couple around Orlando that may fit the bill!

For those of you who live down there... How do you like it?? How is the diving? Anything good/bad you'd like to say about the area??

Thanks!!

Matt

I have really enjoyed living here. I've been here for 4.5 years now. Lot's too do and not too far away from anyone place to go diving. Very centrally located. You would be an hour from either coast, 1.5 - 2 hours form cave country and 2 - 3 hours from west palm beach, ft lauderdale, and miami areas. You can dive year round without freezing to death and it doesn't snow (at least not since I've been here). Let me know if you come down to check it out. I can recommend areas to move to, etc.

I'm currently filling out the 'exam'...

I'll let you know if they fly me down there for an interview!

Orlando is a GREAT place for divers. Plenty of jobs and lots to do. There's about 20-30 dive shops in the greater Orlando area (which allows for more competitive pricing :D ) and lots of Dive Clubs (University of Central Florida Dive Club ).

Also lots of dive sites around. We kind of sit in the middle of them. To the north there's some excellent spring diving. Try Ginnie Springs , Devil's Den. I would still recommend getting (for ALL Florida Divers) the Ned Deloach's Diving Guide to Underwater Florida - it's on Amazon . I'm sure other FL divers would agree on the book. There's great offshore diving to the south by West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale...plus you're MUCH closer to the keys.

Most of your more developed dive sites are with 1-4 hrs. of driving.

Hope this helps :)
