Wow....I've asked elsewhere but....is this a freaky sighting or do the Orca's visit on a regular basis? Annually in May, maybe? :D

Great Pics Becky, thanks Doc for sharing with use looks like it we are seeing a anual return of orca's in the Bay Island.
Keep it up Doc

I hope they stick around for a few more days - maybe I'll have a sighting of my own! :51: :51: :51:

Was anyone in the water with them when they appeared? Way cool. Ranks up there with GW encounters.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I was there three days later and it was the old, "you should have been here three days ago....we saw and Orca.." Sure, and I saw a Moorish Idol off the coast of Newfoundland last December.... heh heh heh.

Nobody got into the water with them.

They were moving quite fast. If we had tried to get in the water with them, we wouldn't have gotten much time to enjoy them.

I understand that they were in the area for one day last year in May, per some of the locals.

This young sweet thing is not only a lucky photographer, but a good photographer, and pretty well kept up with my diving schedule after my dive buddy (aka "Herself") left.

Sue stayed stinky-wet for the entire week.

A great dive buddy!
