Yep, it's a potato gun. They don't put potatoes in it of course, but do fire it off about 7am when they're there camping.

Again, you'll know if they're there. Look for a really, really loud guy in an orange Viking drysuit.

Well off I go!!!
Im extremely excited, but a wee bit worried about how cold its going to be!
Wish me Luck!

Get one of those catalytic heaters that runs off of a camping propane tank--they work great and they make some pretty small ones (tent heaters).

Hey There Guitar Lord,

I was diving at Gilboa Friday night and Saturday. Were you that long haired dude in a wetsuit that I passed at the airplane? : ) The water temp at 70 feet (just over the wall) was pretty cold. (about 45 F) I was in my Mares semi dry 6.5mm suit. (I claim it's just another frickin wetsuit) I definitely liked it better from 45 feet on up. I went into the water off of dock number 5. Were you near there? Believe it or not I actually saw the mythological Paddlefish near the tubes. Prior to this weekends visit I doubted their actual existence. Let me know how things went for you. I hope you had fun diving.

One day I will own a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty With Trips Humbuckers

Did two great dives Saturday off the deep side with JCHOBY watching a couple of friends getting their butts kicked on their advanced nitrox/deco checkouts. Second dive we made our way over to the school bus and a few of the boats - actually a few more than we intended since yours truly forgot how to read a compass in 40 ft of water. Think it was residual effects from the being narc'd stupid on the first dive - anyway that's my story and I'm sticking with it. The viz was still pretty good even after being kicked up. Need to get out there and enjoy this a bit more before the algae wrecks the viz. Ran across several other divers in the shallow end but didn't recognize anyone.
