Open the Solo Forum?

how do you keep one from being the other. read only and member.

I don't think anyone is advocating opening the forum up completely. The discussion has been if it should be changed so anyone can read all the posts in the Solo forum, but still require being a member to post.

I advocate to open it fully. There is nothing wrong, dirty, nasty about solo scuba. Why hide in the dark? There is no reason to, we are not selling illicit drugs in the alley ways. There are certifications now for solo, it is as legitimate as any form of scuba.

From my limited experience I'm solo anyway. Teach me how to mount a pony early on. I may not move on to base jumping.

Then you are not solo diving, you are buddy diving with an unaccounted for buddy.
