CCR and DPV are tools, nothing more. It is a matter of choosing the right tool for the job, ie the dive your doing. Being a "peasant" has nothing to do with it. If you want something bad enough you will save and get it. To quote a instructor I know. "Tec divers are the cheapest people you will ever meet:
