The "Dark Force" has led toward webbing.

My adjustable harness system is now replaced with the webbing...............yes, I am crossing over........................ :14:

I know, but my set up really pisses off my DIR buddies.

Or, you could do what I am going to do... get two BP's. A used Aluminum plate can be had for less than $50, an webbing is about $10. My purpose is to leave on setup for doubles, and the other for singles. After fooling with mine last night, I have no desire to keep adjusting that thing.

The difference between a 7mm and a 3mm is very small. You're talking about less than 1/4 inch of thickness. The only place this could POSSIBLY matter is in the shoulders and you're supposed to leave 2 fingers (about 2") of gap there anyway so I can't see the tolerance being a problem.

If it's properly adjusted at 7, it will be noticeably loose at 3. Whether it will be annoying or not depends on the diver, I suppose. I certainly would tighten my shoulder straps and move both the shoulder D-Rings and the right hip D-Ring if I went to a 3mm suit.

You may be very correct. I suppose I'll find out in the coming weeks! However, my Step-in top is 5mm and I am adjusting for that. If I go to a 3mm it may be a bit loose, and if I go to a 7mm it may be a bit tight. Time will tell.

Think about, say, a weight belt. You can notice it getting looser as you descend, right? I can, and my suit isn't shrinking 4 mm worth.
