A question for people that have an OMS IQ Pack

Where do you hang your, SMB, Reel, Spare Mask, Compass, Dive Light, Slate and etc.

It works like any other Harness type BC:

SMB usually goes on the back bottom of the harness or BP

Reels goes on any D ring, but many divers use the butt ring (must be added to the IQ)

Spare Mask in it's pocket, usually on the waist strap

Compass, on the wrist on a boot or console are the most used places, if you like, attached to a retractable to any convenient D ring

ECT, ECT, ECT.

As you can see, it's the same as any other harness type BC

Looking at the picture, I can't tell if there is a mounting point on the bottom for a SMB but if not, I would probably add a quick draw sleeve to the small d-rings on the back.

Reel clips off to the d-ring on the left side.

Spare mask belongs in a thigh pocket (What? No thigh pocket? Arrrrghhhh, you're gonna die! just kiddinggggg!).

Compass either worn on wrist or clipped off to upper chest d-ring, depending on the style.

Dive light? Backup lights would clip to the bottom d-ring on the chest harness with innertube just below the quick release buckles to keep it tucked and streamlined. If it's a can light, I would take the buckle off the left side, reverse it to mount on the left side and slide the can light onto the waist strap on the right side.

Slate, either mounts on wrist, or in thigh pocket, wet notes preferred.

Etc.

I have an OMS-IQ and bought the OMS large pouch. It has two compartments; one fits a mask nicely and the other fits about as much extra stuff as you would want to carry in a pouch - certainly as much as you mentioned. I just happen to have a starp about 14" long with a gromet hole on each end. O used small carabiner type rings to attach it to the lower D-rings. This allows easy access to the belt buckle while still letting the pouch hand conveniently below my belly.
