I was just on the OMS site, and read that they are phasing out painted LP tanks with HP 3400 tanks. I was finally, just about to buy an LP 80, (My first tank purchase) and now I am a bit confused.
They say that they will be supplying the new HP tanks with the same liquid capacity as the LP ones.
I thought an LP 80 and an HP 80 had the same basic liquid capacity (80 cu ft), regardless of the PSI, so you have the same amount of air, and that LP tanks were actually safer due to lower operating pressure. Am I correct?
If not, please explain, as I am not sure why OMS would switch to HP 3400.
Also, are they phasing out all LP tanks, or just the painted ones?
Thanks,
Rick
