Any ideas on this. I've done a search and looked at instructions but can't seem to find in info on Error Code 99.

The camera will freeze up. If turned off and back on it will work properly for a couple of shots then freeze up again.

It seems to freeze more frequently if you try to review photos or change settings. If left alone it seems to work okay for a while longer.

Ive replaced the batteries with several different sets of newly charged ones and replaced the CF card.

Suggestions anyone.

Thanks

Aloha Thomas!
No idea what it might be. But I have a suggestion. If you go to Olympus's web site they have a option there where you can enter your problem and get a prepared answer. If not they will personally answer any question you have. You could even try to call their toll free number and talk to the techs there. They are very, very helpful.

Aloha,
Lisa

Hi... I had almost the same problem with my c-3000. It would take between 25-50 shots and then start writing out to the card and not stop. This would happen until the batteries died or I turned off the camera - corrupting the card. I believe I traced it to my selection of rechargable batteries - I don't believe they provide enough voltage to satisfy the demands of the camera. Try switching to Lithium batteries for a change and see what happens.

Thanks, I sent an inquiry into Olympus.

The batteries I use are the 2300mvh. and the Olympus supplied batteries. All freshly charged. I tried 3 or 4 sets and I have been using these same batteries since I bought the camera for Christmas with no problems.
