Isn't the SP-350 discontinued? And the SP550 is only 7.1MP. Might want to reconsider the Canon A630(8MP like the SP-350) or the Canon A640 (10MP) Although there's nothing wrong with the SP-350, I like mine...

The differences between 7 and 8mp's as far as resolution go, are so negligable that they shouldn't need to be mentioned. The same can be said for 7 and 10mp differences.

Hey Steve,
Do you ever go down to the Sea of Cortez from Phoenix?

Cheddar,
Steve is correct. The RAW wait times are there but I find I shoot them that way anyway. Around 7 seconds with fresh batteries, 3 seconds for a full jpeg in the SP350.

Hey Steve,
Do you ever make it down to the Sea of Cortez from there?

Thanks Gus,
how long does it take from Phoenix to drive to Rocky Point?
Which Dive op do you recommend?

Hey Gary!

Did Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) 2 years ago. Flew into Phoenix, rental car from the airport down to Rocky Point. I think it took about 4 hours.

There's a lot of shore diving... rocky shore diving in very shallow depths but with some good sea life... not great but ok.

Went with Lobos Del Mar... for the Bird Island trip and it was well worth it. Unfortunately I hear they sold out and moved to Hawaii.

Rented tanks from one of the local dive shops for shore dives.
