I have finally decided to follow Larry down the darkside...Oly SP-350 has been picked. Now what x card do you buy..M or H? and what are the differences?

As stated, the H is the faster one. DPReview.com often contrasts file save times between the two for a given camera.

Isn't the SP-350 discontinued? And the SP550 is only 7.1MP. Might want to reconsider the Canon A630(8MP like the SP-350) or the Canon A640 (10MP) Although there's nothing wrong with the SP-350, I like mine...

But what about the RAW????? Thats all I've heard, get the RAw, get the RAW....Herein is the rub also....Youare right, it is discontinued...and while not quite as hard to find and the Canon S70 still becoming hard. So do you go the reconditioned route??? Now I am having issues finding it fro a decent price...AHHHHHH I quit...

I just bought two SP-350s at Costco a week ago for $180 each. I hear that some random Costcos still have them in stock.

You can also find them on Ebay from an official Olympus Reseller. I've purchased several things from that vendor which say "box damaged" ... I've yet to see a damaged box! In any case, I may have to go out and buy another before they become extinct.

For RAW you'll have to get the Olympus. So get the biggest/fastest card you can afford. I get 520 3264x2448pixel .jpgs on my 1GB card. Shooting RAW it's 82. And the recycle time is noticeably slower about 7-9 seconds per RAW image vs. 1-2 seconds for a jpg.
