hey guys just got into diving last august and will start diving here in april again just looking for a local dive buddy I live in columbus. I am planning on diving circelville, gilboa, white star, and portage quarries a lot. thanks

A group of us will be at Gilboa Jan 1 to start the new year with a dive. Come on out and join us! The water is warmer than it will be in April and I have a tent and Notsoken is bringing a heater so we'll all be toasty!

I'm too much of a chicken to try the water this time of year except for a pool dive here and there, but come June I'll gladly hit the quarries with you.

I prefer to stand on top of cold frozen water not get in it so I won't be braving the quarry on New Years. But I might be flying down a hill with 2 boards strapped to my feet.

Welcome to the dive world bflem55. I'm also out of Columbus and a group of us are usually at one of the quarries every weekend starting in about June. We also belong to the TA Dive club who has monthly Dive Ohio trips. I'm sure several other clubs around the area do also. Hope to see you when the water is warmer

Well, there's a few people that it never ends for.... But sane people tend to wait until June.

I won't be getting into the water until around June. I wear a 7 mil wet suit most of the summer. I don't like to be cold. DBF wears a 3 mil though.

The air is warming up but the water is still a tad bit chilly.... We usually have a meet and greet in Apr.
