I am now perplexed over the required weight computations. I don't want to buy far more weight than I need and cannot figure out how much I will need.

You will not be able to figure that out until you get in the water.

All the more reason to hold off on your purchasing until you've been in the ocean in SCUBA gear, IMO.

Rental gear is included in your course fees. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Yet again I guess you are right
But since this game has 87 bases in the first inning I was just trying to cover as many as possible. I guess I can ask the dive shop to bring extra.

Jeeeze! is there no end to the madness?
I just read about dive computers. . .something NONE of the advertisements mentioned.
let my start with a lil history
I have been working in, on, and around computers for ages.
So my first question is WHY would anyone buy a battery operated device that one could NOT replace the batteries?????
Then the same said device stores history that cannot be reset.
I have had to perform factory resets as well as ROM upgrades on many devices and would not own something that could not be "user controlled", Not at those prices, NEVER!
AND PEOPLE PAY HOW &$@#@& MUCH FOR THEM????????
I have a $6 watch with more functionality and it came with a 10 year battery.
