I did my OW in one of those in 1995. I actually really liked that BC and in '97 I wanted to buy one. The shop never got any more in and even then said it was unlikely they'd get any more. I ended up with a USD Alcyone which later on made the transition to BPW seamless.

I remember seeing Seaquest gear being labelled as "Aqualung Seaquest" for a few years before Seaquest eventually disappearing and some stuff continuing on as Aqualung branded gear.

Seaquest was around under the AL umbrella until around 2000, just like US Divers. Somewhere around 2000 a corporate restructuring saw the elimination of SeaQuest and US Divers becoming that snorkeling brand.

Unscrew the inflator from the bladder and gently try to crack the threaded connection to the bladder which is welded to the bladder. After it cracks or pulls away from the bladder, you can remove the tank cam band and be happy you didn't sell it to someone who could get hurt.
I've been diving a Seaquest Balance for over 2 decades now. 3 different sizes, first an XL then an L and now an M-L as I've shed the pounds over the years. Not that it's all that relevant other than I'm quite familiar with it.

It's a reliable, comfortable and well manufactured piece of dive gear. To suggest destroying it, "just because" is irresponsible.

I've paid between $100-150 for my various Seaquest Balance BCDs over the years.

I've replaced the integrated regulator with a standard one because at least in my experience they were prone to freeflow even after service and adjustment by a technician.
