I'm sure the chimney looks like cough syrup right now....

that odd, brown/red colour.....

Ugh.

(hey, if its gonna flood, no better time than present! Hopefully things won't be quite so dark in June when I hopefully get intro to cave certed!)

Oh no, Auntie Jean has been into the cough medicine again!:D

:rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

Well , and of course , they keep making me offers I just CAN'T refuse ...
(the Jersey'ians , of course)

Hmmm...Maybe I'll have to bring some of that Cough Medicine to the Mega :D
(mixed with a little Sante Fe Tanic to add flavor and color ) :rofl3:

Just don't mess with my rum!!! You can mess with Andy's tequila though, maybe he will sing better. ;)

Note to self, bring lots of yellow and red gatorade to play with snorkelers outside the ballroom.
First the water gets yellow coming out, then a bright red color. It has a tendency to attract a LOT of attention for some reason. BTW, I just picked up a 450 pack of biodegradeable water balloons!

You are er , uh , lookin to cause some ... attention ... :D

Jenny: No WAY would I touch your RUM. I know better

Ginnie conditions report 03/22/2008:

Santa Fe River is slowing going down.
The TANIC in the Devil's Ear is also getting better (getting clearer). We could see the log (at about 20 feet down) in the Ear this afternoon , where-as two weeks ago , you couldn't see anything at all till about 40-50 feet down.
The flow was slightly up today (compared to two weeks ago) so it looks like the system is charging up a bit ! :D

Bottom line: Things are improving ... Slowly.

Darn river was is still nippy though ... (UFFDA)

The Suwannee is dropping finally too. We still don't have a guess when Peacock or Little River will open up. Peacock will probably open before Little River. LR was REALLY siphoning when the river rose very quickly about a month ago.

That's your LATEST Santa-Fe/Ginnie Springs update.

Now back to your regularily scheduled Mega -> "Hey , who's bleeding yellow out of the ballroom and WHO put Jenny's RUM in all of these balloon thingies and WHO put Yellow and Red stuff in the RUM bottles!!! :D " discussion.

Da Beano Baggins

P.S. And NO David , I have NOT been hitting the cough syrup again. Nor Andy's Tequilla. Nor Jenny's Rum. Just being my ol' Beano self. :rofl2:

Ahhhh, and with new (to us) scooters but no scooter card to dive them there! :11:

Good thing there are areas we can jump off to avoid the flow.

Maybe for you in your...wet suit...For those of us in dry suits, or real wet suits ;) it's probably not that bad... :blinking:

well, it looks like i am going to be arriving on Friday night, around 11:00 pm. should have my tent set up and ready to go by 11:30

maybe earlier if work cooperates (doubt it)

anyone up for a late Friday night pow wow around the fire?

Only if you will sunrise dive with us! :D

I'll be getting in late as well. Probably leave straight out from work(5PM CST) and its about 5-5.5 hour drive for me, and a lose an hour at the time zone change. So I'll probably roll in around 11-11:30 that night as well. Tent will be up in 5 min and I'll be up for some campfire shinanigans, maybe that sunrise dive as well.
