"Been spendin most of my life, campin in Ginnie's redneck paradise. I chased cattle once or twice, campin in Ginnie's redneck paradise.

So why are we, so suprised to see, a drunken A-N-D-Y, playin a fiddle at Ginnie's Opry?"

OK, going to work now :shakehead:

Goodness....lots of memories from various Megadives.... I was building myself another logbook after running out of room in the one from OW class, and looked through some old dives just for kicks and giggles.

I was certified in 8-06, and my 7th and 8th dives, 3rd and 4th dives after OW class, were at the fall megadive in the 10th month.... Then, my 16th and 17th dives where at the Spring megadive in 3-07, or March, right? (I'm bad with months and numbers..chronologically challenged) Then, my 34th, 5th, 6th and 7th dives were at the Fall Megadive of 07, in the 10th month. (is that October?) From being on my 7th dive, to beign on my 16th, to being on my 34th...Currently, I'm at 55 dives. Small chance I'll get in two more before the Megadive, depending on how much homework my professors throw at me :)

It's just so much fun to see how I keep getting in more and more dives between megadives!

Mania
PS. Still reading the thread with sorrow

The spring water pushing the tannic water out-the-way is one of my favorite views to look up at :)

The Latest update from Friday afternoon (03-14-2008):
Devils Ear is COMPLETELY black now from the river water and clears at about 40 feet down. The Eye is still clear.
The river water has to be about 10 degrees colder than the spring water... (brrr)

Made that spring outflow feel like a warm bath after coming thru that tanic river water. :D

The Suwannee is going to go up a bit this week but then level off. Hopefully it will drop a little bit and let some of the Santa-Fe flow get thru instead of backing up , as it has been doing.

Now the flow at Manatee was LOW ... :D :D :D
But that's another story.

I'll run over next weekend and check how Ginnie Springs (ballroom) is doing (water level height etc). If the river gets TOO HIGH , I am sure they will put the Tarp back up. (and tarp it between the Ear and the Eye)

And now back to your regually scheduled Mega Thread...
Ice Wars and Andy being NOT out of tune.

Da Beano
P.S. Stuck up in New Jersey for the week ... Phooey
