Ummm....Will I get flogged........ ?
Only if you are good! :no

I've said it before ..... define "Good". :D :D :D

We could use the gin to bathe the kitties, right?

marinates nice

yum yum

I just found out something about the proposed camping site that might be a bit of an issue. There is no vehicle access directly to the area, so everything will have to be carried in. Does anyone forsee this being a major problem?

Also, the NACD (Nationall Association of Cave Divers) is having a social and a costume contest on the evening of the 27th (Friday night) at Ginnie Springs, if anyone is interested. Our very own Rick Murcar (GDI), is one of the high-and-mighty mucky-mucks with the NACD, and will probably try to talk you into joining the NACD if you venture over, though.

How far do we need to carry the stuff?

How far is the dive site from the camp area (for us non cave people)

Just curious? Remember I am camping challenged and need to figure this stuff out as I go LOL

I would say that it is 200-300 feet on the outside.

Not a problem I was thinking a 1/2 mile or something....:D (since I have never been there my imagination got away from me)

Is this the same site we had in the spring? That was an awesome site!

can't be - we could drive to that one.

yeah, i'll be going to the nacd thing. if you can't dive it, at least you can learn more about it! dunno what to be for the halloween part, though...

This link http://www.ginniespringsoutdoors.com/images/Map1.gif will show you a large map of the park. The area above the store/office and below the words ELECTRIC/WATER are the electric sites. The area between Ginnie Springs/Ginnie Springs run and the river is the area I am contemplating. To the closest section of the electric sites I would estmate the walking distance at ~ 150 yards.

Me thinks the only real Q is ... how far to the dive entry point(s)?
Sounds like the walking distance is about the same as the walk from the tents to the Devil's Spring stairs last spring, no biggie.

Any costume theme for the NACD?
Thinking of ... ratty jeans + shirt, tin cup,
and a cardboard sign ... "Need Money for Scooter".
