OK Blue Steal sold me, we're staying at the Blue Angel and diving with them. Hope some of you other folks staying there will sign up for afternoon, night dives as they need 3 to go !!

stangman1: I don't think you will be disappointed in the Blue Angel. While not a five star place, it is clean, big rooms with electronic safes, refrig., all ocean views with balcony, friendly staff, very comfy lobby with wifi, restaurant next door, small dive shop on-site with rinse tanks, bathroom & shower next to dive shop, storage for gear, rentals available, dock, and great DM's like; Matt & Jorge. I have used both and enjoy Jorge's style. They have fast boats and a larger boat for afternoon dives. If you like shore dives, you can right out from the dive shop, around the string ray prison and although there is not a great deal to see compared to the reefs, it is good for "dialing in" your gear or a relaxing afternoon/night dive.
Down side is no microwave in rooms and there is some road noise, but I can say that I am very sensitve to this and it did not bother me at all.
The morning and afternoon "clanging" of the tanks was actually a nice sound for me. That's when they deliver and pick up tanks.
Let Jeanie know you are interested in afternoon and or night dives and she will do what she can to sign people up.
Two tips:
1. Breakfast is included everyday and they open at 0700, so be there early if you want to eat breakfast and be on the 0800 boat.
2. Try the Victoria beer, a local brew, very nice.
Say hi to that sweet girl at the front desk Andrea for me, she is a gem for being helpful with so many things.
