Which reg is my OOG buddy going for when he needs one :D

I can promise you, he/she goes for the one he/she sees working
A panicked diver will quite often grab the regulator they see blowing bubbles. There is even a youtube video of it live.

Which leads to the discussion of donating the primary and bungeeing the backup reg. Of course a hose long enough to comfortably donate the primary comes into play too.

My gear is matching primary and bungee backup. I like having a reg I can detune when not in use, then open up for easy breathing at depth.

Just a natural reaction. IMO

No need for a discussion imo, it's just one of the things that realy make sence in DIR

My partner after her third day of the certification process remarks "I really like my bungee backup, as I always know right where it is!" She had used a traditional octo in the past, and watched other systems in action and is very happy with her 5' long hose and bungee backup. Of course she also has matching HOG regs.
