I just returned from a trip to Playa del Carmen / Cozumel. My brand new VT Pro died after the third time it got wet. First dive went fine, though I did drop the wireless signal a few times. If I moved the receiver over my shoulder, near the 1st stage, for a few seconds it always reset itself. During the second dive, I dropped signal several times and had quite a bit more trouble getting the signal to reacquire. During the third dive, though, the computer reverted back to surface interval mode at about 30 feet on my initial descent. I could not get it to switch back to dive mode. Whoever says you should not have a redundant analog SPG/DG console has never felt the guilt of aborting everyone else's dive because your new toy is broken. Once on the surface again, the computer screen blacked out. I replaced the battery, thinking that may be the problem, but once the unit powered back up, all I got was "888" across all the display fields. I returned last night and replaced the battery again (no faith in the specialty batteries you buy in Mexican Farmacias, if you know what I mean) and got the same result. Sending the unit back today and will post on the customer service, but for the price I paid I am already unhappy. For that much money, the machine should work, period.
