Yep, they make a waterproof watch, with a depth gauge and temperatures sensor.
But Oceanic provides the app.

Are you paying attention? Apple has been marketing their DC solution.

How is this related to underwater camera expertise?

Weren’t you the one citing the challenge to machine learning?

Apple is in the dive biz. So is Rolex. And Casio. Oh, and Dodge, too. I took my truck key diving once.

Congratulations on your post without animated emojis.

Nice. If you have nothing useful to say, it is always good to just insult someone. :bash:

P.S.
Your avatar appears to be from a copyrighted publication. Nice picture, though.

Bad comparision... I think Rolex and Casio make stuff that's actually water proof.

Apple Watch Ultra diving features.
the AWU does not have diving features. It is manufactured to be water resistant to 100m and includes a depth sensor.
IMO, that is not a diving feature. Oceanic uses the depth sensor for the dive computer app.

Loathe as I am to get involved in this bickerfest, and especially on this side of the trench, the AWU does ship with the Depth app. Which is, according to Apple, "for recreational underwater activities to 40m (130ft), from snorkeling, and free diving, to simply playing in a swimming pool". SCUBA not named, but certainly designed for "diving". To 40m. In a swimming pool, or whatever...

Absolutely. But right out of the Apple store, it's not a dive computer. Apple as a company is not getting in the dive computer business. They saw a market, equipped the watch with a depth sensor and contracted a known entity in the dive computer business to port their software to the watch.,

Apple is in the dive biz now. You can quibble about how serious Apple is, or will be. You can quibble about how important-unimportant it is to the industry. You can quibble about your personally preferred word definitions.
