For w.wolf, I can advise you to try the old versions of Diving Log and Subsurface. But, of course, the Oceanlog programm from Oceanic and USB-UART on FT232RT from Waveshare is the easiest option.

It seems my SCUBA dive history was overwritten by all the freediving history data which these software do not seem to like. I would have tried Oceanic software but I got a fake FT232R chip which means I cannot change the PID for Oceanic to recognize it.

Figured this out by trying to download my SCUBA dives before doing a lot of freediving.

I bought the cheapest FT232R USB-UART cable that I could find on eBay and AliExpress and it works perfectly.

I'm resurrecting this thread again because several of the links don't work anymore, including Oceanic's driver page. I'm in Bonaire and trying to log my dives. I haven't setup the usb cable on this laptop yet and I can't get my software to see my computer.

I found working drivers here: https://www.ediverlog.com/files/x64_USBDriver.exe

It would be easier to provide help if you said what kind of laptop....i.e., what kind of driver do you need?

Added: have you looked at https://ediverlog.com/faq.html?
