Greetings once again Tim the Oceanic FDX10 / Delta IV is a great regulator.
That is the same regulator I started with and still use on my rig. I have only had one small issue that amounted to a few grains of sand in my adjustment knob. With out a doubt my fault but my LDS fixed it on the spot and I was on my way!
The customer service from Oceanic is very very good, actually hard to beat!
I hope this helps it you have any more specific questions fire away!
PS. Nice photo of the buck you found, I had the pleasure of finding one while recovering my sons doe. Not really the way we like to get our buck! Even so have a great evening!
CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

thanks IT was the closes i got this year i had a 11 point i have been watching since july 50 yards out when shotgun hunting. Some dogs had been running him and scared him off just seconds before i was ready to pull the trigger.

I also have the Oceanic Delta 4/FDX10. I have about 35 dives on it. It is a great reg. The swivel keeps the reg for wanting to pop out of mouth when you turn your head. The ports makes routing of hoses any way you want. The reg breathes easily in any position and trust me I find myself in weird positions....lol. As as said by CamG their customer service is unbelievable. My first stage had to go back for check (it was known problem after being sent out). The stage had all internals replaced and the outside was even buffed. I thought it was a new first stage. Had check serial number to make sure it was mine. There are a lot of good regs out there but you wont go wrong with a Delta 4/FDX10.

I don't think they offer the swivel on the Delta 4 any more. You can probably still find one in somebodys stockroom if it is a feature that you were looking for, but I think the only reg Oceanic is still making with the swivel is the EOS.

The Delta 4 is one of a few regulators I have had the opportunity to use and it worked great. Being a noob myself, I also like the fact that it will grow with you as a diver. Great reg with or without the swivel.

It is a great regulator. I bought mine several years ago....I have since retired the second stage and swamped the yoke for a DIN set-up. It is my primary reg. and have had it below 300' and in cold water with great results.

I have one; I don't like it. I find that it is fiddly, and take a lot of adjusting. YMMV. Oceanic customer service is excellent, though.

I have a DX4 which I used until last year when I changed to a Scubapro Mk 25. The DX4 was very good, never had a problem and would recommend it to anyone. The only small complaint which others had when they used my reg was that it was a wet breath - I found this to be fine. As I have always said - regs are very personal. Try a few before you commit to buy.

What second stage were you using with the DX4? If it was an Omega, those things are notoriously wet. I didn't mind it in fresh water, but on my first saltwater dives with that thing, I really hated it.
