I posted 2x as I wasn't certain both would be seen. I've used vinegar and Krud Kutter on a lobster snare I found on ocean floor. Not sure why I didn't think of that first. But thanks, the vinegar worked.

Where did you find replacements? I wouldnt mind having another spare or two on the assumption that my replacements crumble again in a few years. only online sources I see are either outrageously expensive on Ebay or an online shop that I don't know that I'd trust.
