I figured it was a joke, Albion. Before I responded, I checked your other posts to be sure. Your background check was clean. You have not been asimilated, yet. LOL

Resistance is nubile

FWIW, I have used a system that was very close to a BP&W - it was a Dive Rite gizmo thing and I did not care for it at all.

The last BC I owned/used before switching to a BP was a DiveRite TransPacII. It's not bad, but not great either. In any case, it's definately not nearly as much like a BP and harness as it appears to be. In fact, the only real similarity I can think of is that it uses a wing. Aside from that, it's quite different in fit, feel, reliability, and versatility.

I guess the simplest way I can put it is this... I haven't used it at all since I started diving with a backplate, but I'm keeping it around as a loaner for friends without gear.

Albion:
Dont forget "...not using a BP/ wing will get you killed eventually"

No, it probably won't get you killed... it'll just make your diving less enjoyable than it could be otherwise.

JJ is a very charismatic, likeable guy. So what you have is a lot of neophyte salesmen trying to do him a favor by herding a slew of novice divers his way. You just have to learn to ignor it.
Indy,
You'd better hurry home. Billy Goat Gruff has already crossed your bridge but if you hurry you can catch him on the return trip!
