What website do y'all use for the marine forecast? NOAA?

And if anyone is up for diving in the future, let it be known that I'm ready. Plans for yesterday and today were foiled for any shore dives. I did do some snorkeling at Portlock and saw a whale breach, so it wasn't a total loss.

I use whats in my sig line, the surf site cause I favor an incoming tide for good viz. (as long as it's far enough offshore) Also, I call Capt. Joey of the Nori Z or Alex from AAA diving.

WC uses NOAH.

This is what I use to gauge the weather...at first glance it appears this individual is scratching an itch...but further investigation revealed that it was to be warm and sunny today.

I all seriousnless..Jimbo's address above is a good one.

I can't remember the last time I got really burned. But yesterday, I got burned. Didn't want the same thing today.....
And I'll have some cover tomarrow.......:D
7'ish at the clubhouse, I hope the wind will step down a little so it aint so rough....
I guess Vblue is going to shore dive the pipe.....
won't be the same without "strike a pose" along......:rofl3:
of course I think I heard them mention Portlock as a maybe.....they need some practice on their Tarzan swing...:D
man, I crack myself up!

lol.. "strike a pose" or "frog-kicking automaton".. same thing really

badhat..
seems catherine changed her signature some..
here's the website she referred to: http://www.surfnewsnetwork.com/
while it is the surf forecast.. it can also be applicable to shore diving..
(not as much for boat diving..
except the weekly tide information and winds are presented too)

I must say, it must be nice to have good knees, for my "frog kick"
looks rather sickly.....

I use a combination of the surf news network, for tides and size, then I use the UH meteorolgy marine forecast for winds and offshore. Of course if we had listened to either to those we wouldn't have gone out Saturday (scuba and dream, vblueV, fishb0y, mrjimboalaska, roll221 and I). There was a small craft advisory for the Waianae coast, but we had three kayaks and the rubber ducky out there and no problems at all. Might just start using the "drive to shore and see how it looks" method.
