After taking apart the valve, putting the metal parts in a sonic cleaner to remove corrosion, rinsing with fresh water, do you use an O2 clean rinse of any particular kind?

Cleaning with Simple Green followed by a rinse with clean water should do it. Handle all parts after cleaning by wearing clean laytex or other oil resistant gloves to keep body oils from your fingers off the internal parts. A pair of clean tweesers would also help with handeling the smaller parts.

Another interesting query: I replaced my burst disks less than a year ago and just completely stripped the valves. Is there any need to remove and replace the b disk for the sonic wash and crystal green bath or can I just leave it in the valves?

Personally, I would not clean a valve without removing the burst disk. Of course, when you do this, it should be replaced with a new safety assembly.

If I am O2 cleaning a valve, I replace the burst disk with a new one after cleaning, and when rinseing off the valve, I use distilled water. I use the distilled water because our tap water is a little salty and I dont want to put any solution in it that could possibily intruduse a corrosive element inside. That and I am somewhat anal compulsive about my life support equipment.

Replace the disk with a new one.
There only good for one install and it should be removed for cleaning.

I use 18 meg ohm RODI water, also known as Nuclear grade
