I keep a couple of my Aladin Pro computers around for backups/bottom timers. These are the Pre-94 (Beauchat type) ones with the dry battery tube using the Saft LS 14500 battery.

Does anyone know the size/type of o-ring for the battery cap? I have re-used these a couple times, but they are every bit of 20yrs old now.. and need to be replaced. Last time I replace one of the batteries, I gave up looking. I think its an odd size.

Can you measure accurately the inside and outside diameters from the from the mating surfaces of the cap and tube. I use a vernier to measure. Given these dimensions an o-ring can be sized/sourced.

I will give that a shot.

..going to google vernier..

The verier will just make measuring easy and accurate. You could also cut a piece of plastic/cardboard so it fits, a rectangular slot for the cap so it fits the channel that the o-ring sits in and a rectangle that fits the opening seat. Measure the size of the slot and the size of the opening as accurately as possible, estimate the millimetres to one decimal place.

From the images I would estimate the size as ID 28mm OD 31.7mm with a section of about 1.8mm. Note the CR2450 is 24mm diameter. This would then be a 024 imperial size with ID28.3 OD 31.8 section 1.78 and in inches ID 1.1/8 OD 1.1/4 Section 1/16. This could be a softer material say a 70.

It's a 2-016 Duro 70: just checked my spare against a chart.
Also realized I must have made a mistake in the list I compiled; I'll do a update soon.

Thanks! so the 2-016 / 70 is the correct size? Is your list posted somewhere? I would love a good reference for o-rings. I have quite a few that I would like to replace, but just don't take time to research every one.
