If a computer doesn't integrate your current tank pressure into the algorithm, then what exactly does it do?

Your No Decompresion Limit (NDL) should not have anything to do with your remaning air supply. It has to with your theroretical Nitrogen load. The computer uses a pre loaded algorithm that may work kind of like your dive tables or multi level wheel, except the computer allowes for more variables. What your Air Intergrated (AI) computer may offer is such info as remaning time on a tank based on calculated air comsumption.
I hope this explanes it.

What this guy said...plus keep in mind not all AI computers use air remaining in their calculation. Some have a feature "Air Time Remaining" but some just display in bar or PSI how much air you have left.

Cheers.
