There will probably continue to be shortages in all those areas where there is resistance to vaccines.I picked up my tanks yesterday filled with 32% nitrox. I was informed that this might the last nitrox fill for a while. There seems to be an oxygen shortage probably related to COVID-19. The fill station's oxygen supplier told them not to expect any oxygen deliveries for a while.
Any other areas running into this??
Another (though very small) point regarding the "I don't care about others, I'll do what I want" crowd. Sorry, this isn't The Pub, but apparently relevant to the Nitrox shortage in some places. There will probably continue to be shortages in all those areas where there is resistance to vaccines.
It might have to do that here in "south florida" we've had a lot of COVID-19 hospitializations and ICU admissions this summer (more than last summer) so there's a high medical demand for oxygen. It's better that the O2 goes to medical uses rather than recreational.
In Detroit we have seen rising costs, but no shortages.First I've heard of it. Probably because I pump my own 21% and only use that. Freedom is the best! Good luck all!
