I'll agree , Nitrox is the way to dive. Especially for us old farts'!
I find myself feeling better at the end of my dive and also use less gas on my dive.

Around my area, 3 out of 4 lds carry nitrox and the cost is about 5 bucks more than compressed air but again i don't mind paying the difference.
My own tank is deadicated to using either "nitrox" or nitrox compadible air which is nice to have both worlds.

Safe diving to you::wink:

Where in BC are you from

NetDoc bubbled: "Geezer Gas", 'cuase us old farts don't feel as tired after we're done."

With 30 years of diving, and age 48 I probably qualify as a Geezer.
As a NITROX diver and NITROX instructor, I have heard this comment made, repeatedly.
The terms less fatigued, or more energetic, even "energized" from the little pink rabbit commercial have found their ways into disccussions with fellow Nitrox divers.

I personaly believe this to be a psychological, or plasebo effect. I have not however subjected myself or others to a double blind test to validate my statement.

I can't say that I feel more or less fatigued after a dive on Nitrox or air.

I know nitrogen loading makes a diver feel fatigued, but so does exertion, and cold exposure.

I have about 1000 career dives, but only about 200 are Nitrox dives.

At 62 I'm a Senior Geezer. I like EAN36. For whatever reason I do feel better after a dive. I don't breath as much as I do with air either. There's nothing complicated about using nitrox other than watching your MOD and keeping at 1.4 or less.:doctor:

I just got Nitrox certified and I have to say, it is great. I really didn't need it for the dives I was doing, but it made me feel much less tired after diving. And as for expense, when you compare the price of nitrox to what it costs to get a charter, it's chicken feed.
