I dont hear of much night diving at venice beach, it seems there is enough structure in some parts of the reef to provide some entertainment. With less current than the east coast and nice warm water it seems like a night dive would be do-able, has anyone had any experiences night diving up that way ?

I've never done a night dive there, but would be interested.

I've thought about it.. I bet the boat traffic is considerably less.

I can just see answering a cops question of "what are yawl doin at night out there?" and me saying "Makin fossils... its easier to hide bones where there are already bones laying around!"

I'd give it a try, hard to figure what weekend would work but i'm gonna keep it in mind
as something to try. I dont think they see many night divers there but i dont see any
real problems, plenty of parking spots i'm sure !

I have thought of doing one as well......It should be on a Full Moon weekend. (the one in the sky  ) could be a real cool dive. Jeff, Colin we need to plan one.

Hey.. since Sarasota has weird ordinances, could someone call around to find out if there is some strange ordinance about parking or diving after sunset up there?
