dont know i want to say that fire fighting air has to only be grade d. hopefully someone out there knows for sure.
nfpa is not a air specific doc. it covers reflective vests and junk for fire fighters. all i found on air is:

These bauer compressors meet or exceed the Grade-E air quality specifications found in NFPA 1901 and OSHA 1910.134 when used in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.

Compressor required to have air quality monitoring
the above must be in osha 1910.134 perhaps osha specifies the air and mfpa governs the systems.

The Wichita Fire department has for many years tested to the NFPA (now 1500 2002 edition) which defines the following minimum air quality specifications:
Oxygen (volume %) 19.5 - 23.5
Carbon Monoxide (ppmv) 10
Total Gas hydrocarbons (ppmv) 5.0
Carbon Dioxide (ppmv) 1000
Oil Mist(mg/m3) 5.0
Particulate mg/m3 5.0
Water (ppmv) 24
Water (Dew Point) -65 degrees F
Odor None
The tests are taken at the end of each quarter and before the filter changes.
This is better than Grade E but less than OCA
TRI Air Testing Inc. in Austin Tx. does the testing.
All of my Scuba compressors meet the same standard.

Alright, I'm playing on buying this filling station that's nfpa 1901, is that safe for scuba diving? Thanks for the help!
