Hey there I dove King's Beach with 2 of my students Monday and Tuesday of this week and despite the high winds and cloudy skies the dives were pretty darn good.
The wind was blowing out of the north so KB was in the lee and the area from the old boat ramp out to B.S. rock was very calm.
Visibility was 12 foot max monday and 10 foot max tuesday.
We dove late afternoon and at low tide but all went well.
fish were back. I didn't see fish one there diving easter weekend but the little choogies are back in abundance and saw a few skates and good sized flats.
Water temp was between 48 and 50 degrees.

Yup the fish are definitely back. Fort Wetherill was absolutely loaded with Tautog on Saturday and Sunday.

Just to give you an idea of how many there were, here is a shot I took on Sunday while near the tip of the island between the coves.

Rio...does there tend to be current there at the tip? plan on doing my next dive there.

Yes, there can be a current near the tip. It usually seems to be worst on the side of the point facing the east passage.

thanks will keep that in mind...
