Just spent an incredible week learning to dive with the WONDERFUL people at Aqua Sport in Eilat. Wanted to do this since I was a little girl watching Sea Hunt. I admit it was very challenging for this out of shape middle age woman, took a few more dives than the norm to get it---but now I'm relaxed with it and I LOVE IT. Encouragement from my great instructors and my sweet brother (DivesWithTurtle) kept me going until I started really, really enjoying it.

Great to be here,

Hi ya SeaHorseWoman. So you watched Sea Hunt too. Growing up, I never missed an episode (that and Route 66). Anyway, welcome and have fun diving.

Welcome to the board, old woman. (You're not middle aged; I'm middle aged and you're my BIG sister!)

(But you're in better shape than me :11doh:)

Welcome to the boards! Its easy to fall in love with the sport.. trust me, we all know how easy it is!!! If there is anything that I can help you with while your learning your way around, just let me know!

I ended up taking private lessons to get certified, and it was the best thing that I have ever done!! I was so much more comfortable after that!!!

Have fun, and safe diving!
Kayla

Hey, congratulations on entering the underwater world regardless of what age. Hope you really enjoy it and make it a sport to last the rest of your life!

Welcome and congratulations in making the transition from land-based to amphibian >_< You're not alone in falling in love with diving. Keep diving and be safe.

I'm on Marathon, halfway down the Overseas Hiway of the Florida Keys with some other SB divers. I like to log on long enough to say "Howdy" to each new member at least.

Glad you're here, too. :thumb:
