MissTwisties:
On another note, went to see the doctor yesterday, she said I have fluids accumulation behind my ear drums... :( She's sending me to see an ear-nose-throat specialist.

Is that due to a cold, swelling of the eustachian tubes and inability of the fluid to drain? Or, is it due to trauma of being unable to equalize yet forcing the descent?

Your middle ears constantly produce fluid that drains out through the eustachian tubes and helps keep that area clean. When the tubes are blocked (due to cold, etc.) the fluid can't exit. You can cause even more fluid (sometimes blood?) by forcing a descent; you think the pressure equalized but all you did is fill the space with fluid.

Anyway, it sux. For the past several months, following a severe sinus/middle ear infection, I've been on a daily regimen of Astelline, Nasonex and non-drowsy antihistamine.

I wish you success with the ENT.
