Newbie... Monterey or Honolulu?

I love them both, but they're very different. With 60+ dives you should catch on fast either place but a local mentor (or hired dive guide) might be helpful, esp in Monterey if you plan on shore diving.
 
Honolulu actually :) I managed to get a monterey list from another thread.
