I dove 1 1/2 hours total in my Bare NexGen drysuit over the weekend (1/2 hour tryout followed by a 1 hour night dive).
Pros:
warm and dry above and below the water
excellent pre and post dive experience (able to don and doff solo, comfortable)
Cons: everything else (newbie syndrome)
I'll still keep working on it, and I made good progress. I _really_ like the warm dry part and I'll be working on the rest (adjustment of dump valve, optimum amount of added air).
I know where Timeliner is coming from regarding braving the cold: I wore it like a badge last winter, but, if you are inclined to wussydom, warm and dry is pretty neat. Lake Travis is already 65 degrees .... If you don't think a drysuit is in your future, a wetsuit will work: just get out when _you_ get cold (I feel confident Timeliner is tougher than me regarding the cold).
