Captain Nicole of Double Action Charters spotted what looked like a wreck on sonar while coming back from a different wreck site, and I got to join Double Action when they went to check it out for the first time on August 26, 2020 (thanks to Mike Pedersen!). It is indeed a wreck, and it was probably not dived before as even the ship's wheel was there! (Decades ago people often took artifacts from wrecks but now both the local ethos and the law are to leave everything in place). Depth is in the 50 foot range, and it's within sight of Chicago. Main hull is broken up, but lots of stuff to see!
