Ok, regardless of your opinions on the current administration, you are 180 degrees wrong. Bush is gone, his term is up, someone new WILL be in the oval office. The terrorists will most likely test the resolve of the new leaders by launching a HUGE attack at the United States. It won't be in Nov, it will be when the next leader officially takes office.

This is not speculation.

Besides, Bush isn't going to be gone this november anyway. A few house & senate seats are going to be warmed by new buns this time around.

There are two more years until the next Presidential elections and the current administration will be in office until January 2009.

Leaving the UK here are the restrictions.

Travel documents essential for the journey (for example passports and travel tickets)

Prescription medicines and medical items sufficient and essential for the flight (eg, diabetic kit), except in liquid form unless verified as authentic

Contact lens holders, without bottles of solution

For those travelling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags)

Female sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight, if unboxed (eg tampons, pads, towels and wipes)

Tissues (unboxed) and/or handkerchiefs

Keys (but no electrical key fobs). All passengers must be hand searched, and their footwear and all the items they are carrying must be X-ray screened.
Pushchairs and walking aids must be X-ray screened, and only airport-provided wheelchairs may pass through the screening point.

In addition to the above, all passengers boarding flights to the USA and all the items they are carrying, including those acquired after the central screening point, must be subjected to secondary search at the boarding gate.

No mobile phones, no game boys, no laptops, no cameras.
Lets hope this does not go on for to long. :shakehead

Hmmm. This could be a field day for unscrupulous baggage handlers looking for electronic items that they can sell quickly, not to mention the damage that could be done checking your laptops, cameras and other delicate electronics.

Next they will say we cannot take on any electronic devices, like dive computors or laptops or cameras.
Big brother is watching you......Who knows what kind of evil you intended with that cup of coke you have.
