*NEW* TROPICAL STORM WARNING (NOT Nesat / Pedring !!!)

Hot on the heals of Typhoon Nesat, a tropical depression 22W is currently located approximately 800 nautical miles East-northeast of Manila, and is forecast to move generally westward towards the Batanes Islands. This weather system is expected to increase in intensity within the next 48 hours to typhoon status, and is forecast to close on the Batanes Islands by Friday, before moving into the South China Sea.

Why and how storms get their names - Nation - GMA News Online - Latest Philippine News
“It is felt that familiar names are more easily remembered in the rural areas and that having a PAGASA- assigned name helps to underscore the fact that the cyclone is within PAGASA's AOR and potentially a threat to the Philippines," according to the United States’ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Not Quiet. I need to clean my glasses more often: STORM "Quiel" (international name: Nalgae)
