i'd like to say hi to everyone. I am new to this part of the board and am going to be a regular member of it. My wife and I are located in grand rapids michigan and both divers. I have been diving for over ten years now and my wife for about three. I originally certified in northern michigan and most of my dives were in the north west part of the state(petoskey, charlevoix, traverse city, ludington areas). For the last few years i have been down here in Grand Rapids finishing up a double BAS. I wanted to make the meet and greet but things just didn't work out so i thought i would introduce on here.

Welcome, hope to see you around diving.

Welcome to the GLWC! I'll have advanced students at Gilboa May 20-21, 2006 if you're in the area drop by and say "Hi!". My Chevy HHR with the "Wicked" stripe package and the sharks on the rear quarter panels is hard to miss ;)

What took you so long to find us? Welcome, and don't miss the next Meet & Greet!:D

Actually i looked at this a few months ago but just didn't take the time to post and i wasn't sure if this was a membership type club or what the deal was at first till i did some reading.

For any new people who may be reading. The only thing you have to do to join any of the regional clubs such as this one is start posting in the forum :D There are no dues and no meetings and as soon as you start posting we consider you one of us! Everyone is welcome to come along on posted dives and Meet-n-Greets as well as to post their own dives and invite the rest of us along. You do not need to have a buddy, there are plenty of buddies to go around and we don't mind diving with new divers. There may even be gear available for you to borrow, just ask in the thread that's talking about the dive you would like to attend.

Actually, new members should pm me on what the dues structure is. As the new treasurer, checks should be made out to me!:D

Hey now, I'm obligated to attempt to protect the newbies from you sharks ;)
