Greetings,
I recently moved to central Texas (near San Angelo) and looking to get some diving in while I’m here. I know it’s a stretch but I am wondering if anyone is located nearby and interested in diving or know where some decent sites are nearby. Thanks!

I am so sorry that you had to chose Texas. Then again, you must not like visibility.

Nothing wrong with Texas, just sucks for scuba. Thats why I waterski and hunt. :rofl3:

If you do a search for Texas dive sites there are a few good lists with descriptions.
Most diving in Trxas is in lakes, and yes vis can be a problem.
There are a few quarries and small lakes that are scuba only but vis is rately over 15’.
Lake Travis near Austin is popular.
There is some good diving in the gulf on wrecks out of Corpus Christi and a new one out of Galveston, plus the Flower Garden out of Houston, but those are liveaboards. Divers who have gone on those say they are nice but cost about the same as flying to Cozumel and diving for a week.

The inshore rigs are not supposed to be bad, but I've heard they are removing them.

Ah. Hmm. Kevin. You forgot to post the price for such an excursion. Hmm. Will you? It all sound wonderful until a price tag shock.
