Now that it's an "official" buy the deal at $215 is even better.

Gotta agree. Get that credit card out and start shopping guardian. Someone's gotta start making the economy better.

will do thank you for all of your help, and I am more than willig to listen to any more comments .Thank you.

No problem. Thats what ScubaBoard is all about.

Leisure Pro does price matching, so you should be able to get it from $200 from them. Just click on the green "$Best Price Guarantee". Think I may do the same thing myself.

what should I do for an octo to go along with this?

I use Alpha 8 octos with my GT3 setups. Very nice breathing regs, and they use the same service kit as the GT3, so if you ever get to the point that you are servicing your own regs, it'll be easier to keep track of them.

Hi Everyone, Another newbie here with a similar question - I'm in need of my first reg, and expect to mostly dive in the northeast. My LDS is suggesting Mares Abyss 22 or Apeks XTX50. Does anyone have experience with either of those? Also, DIN or yoke? Guidance on where to find more information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
