The flap just gets in the way and makes things more difficult, but it's not as bad as the thing on my halcyon explorer 40 was which made screwing and unscrewing the corrugated hose for travel and cleaning a real task. I'm afraid to remove it though because if I (or my girlfriend) ever decides to sell the wing, then it's value may be decreased by such modifications, but you can just not put the corrugated hose through it and let it flap about...

edit: just to clarify, i was talking about the razor 30#, which has the same flap as the mach V (as far as I can tell from the pics), but the flap is mostly just an irritation.

Some people do not tie down their hoses. The flap is not there to make life difficult, it prevents the hose from going behind you head so you can reach it more easily.

If that was an issue, I could remove them from the wings entirely.

Best regards,

Patrick

yes the first thing i do when i get the wings is find a way to color logos black and remove that flap on the inflator hose

Funny thing is, in the past and recently, I have seriously thought about using black thread --- black on black.

However, I do have to deal with some markets that think the more logos you put on, the better. I am not kidding aboat that.

Maybe you should start a poll thread asking whether or not people would prefer the flap removed. I'm guessing most people wouldn't miss it.

Patrick,

Some questions for you. The Mach V is designed with non-replacable bladder (I have heard), is "more streamline" the reason for that? The bladder is made of rubber (or whatever special name you call the chemical) eventually it will get old, less elastic, wouldn't it be a good idea to make it replacable?

Mach V is 32# right? Does it has any 40# version?

Thanks!

Oh, I have no doubt I will like it and possibly others. Just not sure how well the masses (distributors, dealers and divers) will like it. I can drive myself nuts (or futher than nuts) trying to make everyone happy.

The uerthane bladder on the Mach V is replaceable. That same material is under on all bladders, most lift bags, SMBs, etc. On SMBs and lift bags, it is the inside coating.

At present, a Mach 40 Class wing is not avialable. The next two wings arriving will be a smaller size ProPac and the Vertex 45.
