Dear w84me,

There is a fairly new dive club that is quite active. A lot of the members are new divers. Check them out: www.calidivers.org.

And like Scott suggested, consider diving Folsom Lake. Yeah, it's boooooring, but it's much closer than Monterey and you can work on being comfortable in water and with your gear, buoyancy, weighting, and navigation.

I did dive in Folsom over the summer and had a good time.
And I do need to practice my skills.. Let me know next time your going to the lake..

susan,hmmm..... susan, ya i know this name and this girl... hi susan give me a call we will have to dive down there again soon, i just got back from the phillipines and will be wanting to hit monterey again soon so we can see if we can set it up. hope you are doing well and i will talk to you and bri again real soon . jim:D
