I have a request. Is there any way to automatically add units? I have it set to imperial, but it shows my depth as 80.02 with no units. I know I can type it ft or lbs, but it would be great if it was automatic (or mentioned in the header). Thanks!

Do you mean in the main table cells?

No, there's not currently - sorry.

Installed the update today! I really wanted to thank you for handling the temperature issues on the Pro Plus 2.1. I cannot tell you how nice it was to deal with you guys on this - a fix in about 5 minutes. Pretty impressive!

The install went in without a hitch and I'm diving tomorrow. I'll be excited to see normal temperatures now!

Update: Just uploaded my dives from the day. Water temperature works perfectly. Really like the new updates on the interface, too. Nicely done! :D

Just got the full software and installed the driver, but is the process really as easy as plugging in my pro plus 2.1 and just going to File>Download Dives?

Sorry, I've never used virtual drivers or any sort of diving computer software

Not quite. You will need to install the correct USB driver for your device, as specified on my website - see macdive - supported devices. In your case, you want the FTDI USB driver.

After that, then yes, it's about that easy. Sometimes you will need to perform one extra step to select the right serial port, but often this works automatically. It depends if you have any other devices on your system that it tries to use incorrectly.

How can I verify that the USB Driver installed correctly? Is there somewhere in the User HD>Library I can look at to see?

Plug in the cable, fire up MacDive, go to Preferences -> Advanced -> Scan For Serial Port and you should see "/dev/tty.usbserial-2003001" as an option.

Just got my PDC cable and redownloaded the whole slew of USB drivers to ensure it turned out right and I was uploading dives in no time. :D

EDIT: Also got the DiveLog for iPhone and the compatibility is amazing.

This program (MacDive) seems nearly perfect in almost every way
